AMERICAN FRIENDS OF THE ISRAEL NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR THE CHILD

ABOUT US
The Israel National Council for the Child (NCC) operates in the name and for the benefit of all the children in Israel, stressing those whose rights are in danger and whose well-being is at risk and is the sole agency in Israel representing the entire spectrum of issues concerning the rights of all Israeli children - Jewish, Moslem, Druze and Christian.
The NCC staff operates on a foundation of passion, creativity, energy and flexibility. These characteristics have helped the NCC to continually evolve, to learn from the challenges and to change direction at any moment in the struggle to safeguard Israel's children, promote their rights and create change in policy and practice.
The NCC has a staff of 16 staff members from a variety of professions and is strongly supported in its work by tens of volunteers, students and National Service women. The 15-member Board of Directors, all senior professionals from different fields, volunteers to serve the National Council for the Child.
The Israel National Council for the Child does not seek government funding as a matter of policy, believing that such funding would hinder its effectiveness as an independent organization free to intervene on behalf of the children under all circumstances.
To carry out its programs, the NCC seeks the help of concerned individuals, businesses, institutions and foundations around the world. We welcome those in the United States who care, to show support through the American Friends of the Israel National Council for the Child.
